Marco Maggioni studied industrial design at IED in Milan.
He opened his own design studio in 1991, when he received three mentions to the ADI Golden Compass Award. He has designed products for major Italian and foreign companies. For the Italian brand Gio'Style he designed the famous line of kitchen accessories «Florì» selected at the International Prize “BIO” design of Ljubljana in 1996 and 1998. In 2002 he was awarded with the Red Dot Award and selected by the ADI Design Index in 2003 year. In 2003 he created the futuristic line of Odue Concept furnishing accessories for OASIS. Small Entities tableware collection designed for Mebel in 2008 was selected by MoMA in New York for the museum shop. In 2009 the project of «Morphos» display, designed for Domestik, won the Gold Award “Display SuperStar” in Frankfurt fair as the best product. In 2012 he has been working with innovative projects for 3M.
In 2014 he won the Best Product Award in Italy for the plastic kitchenware «ForMe», designed for Gio’Style. In 2016 he designed the complete collection «POS Piccoli Oggetti Speciali» for Ecoplast company. His works have been published in several international design magazines worldwide. He has been visiting professor at ITESM Tecnológico de Monterrey. He held lectures in product design at IED Milan from 2003 to 2016. He's design professor at Istituto Marangoni and Domus Academy for the master courses.
In 2016, 2017, 2018 he won the Gold Award at VISCOM in Milan for innovative display solutions.

Per il brand italiano Gio'Style ha disegnato la famosa linea di accessori da cucina «Florì» selezionata al Premio Internazionale “BIO” design di Lubiana nel 1996 e 1998. Nel 2002 è stato premiato con il Red Dot Award e selezionato dall'ADI Design Index nell'anno 2003, sempre per prodotti Gio'Style. Nel 2003 crea la futuribile linea di complementi d'arredo Odue Concept per OASIS. La collezione di casalinghi Small Entities disegnata per Mebel nel 2008 è stata selezionata dal MoMA di New York per il negozio del museo. Nel 2009 il progetto del display «Morphos», disegnato per Domestik, ha vinto il Gold Award “Display SuperStar” alla fiera di Francoforte come miglior prodotto. Nel 2012 collabora a progetti innovativi per 3M. Nel 2014 ha vinto il Best Product Award in Italia per le stoviglie in plastica «ForMe», progettate per Gio’Style. Nel 2016 ha disegnato la collezione completa «POS Piccoli Oggetti Speciali» per l'azienda Ecoplast. I suoi lavori sono stati pubblicati su riviste di design in tutto il mondo. È stato visiting professor allo ITESM Tecnológico de Monterrey. Ha tenuto lezioni di product design presso IED Milano dal 2003 al 2016. È docente di design presso Istituto Marangoni e Domus Academy per i master.
Nel 2016, 2017, 2018 ha vinto il Gold Award al VISCOM di Milano per soluzioni innovative di display design.
